British company KEF has been a world leader in high-fidelity audio for over six decades. Now, the company is launching its newest line of speakers. The new model is called Coda W and was designed as a modern tribute to the classic Coda series of the 1970s, combining retro design with a premium touch, as well as modern connectivity technology. KEF’s main objective is to ensure, of course, that its product is innovative, but also that it doesn’t lose its nostalgic essence.

How KEF will deliver Hi-Fi sound for every style

The KEF Coda W was designed to offer a home studio experience without many challenges or complications. This new version comes with a design that is both technological and elegant, inspired by older models from the Coda line, which were responsible for democratizing access to high-fidelity audio in the 1970s.

One of the components of the new device is the 12th-generation Uni-Q coaxial driver, a KEF trademark. This driver positions the tweeter in the center of the woofer, creating a single sound source that distributes audio evenly throughout the room.

The new model boasts 200 watts of power, and each speaker has dedicated amplifiers for treble and bass frequencies. Furthermore, the system is enhanced by the Music Integrity Engine, a suite of digital processing algorithms, and it was developed by KEF itself as a way to increase performance in any type of music.

Modern technology with an analog soul

The Coda W combines tradition and digitalization, allowing the user to experience both the analog pleasure of vinyl and the convenience offered by the digital age. With Bluetooth 5.4, the device has a speaker that allows wireless streaming in CD quality, directly from mobile devices. For those who still enjoy the old-fashioned way of playing a record, there’s a built-in phono preamp that can be connected to any turntable without the need for extra equipment.

Furthermore, the device also features an HDMI ARC port for connecting to televisions, a USB-C port for high-resolution audio, and even RCA and optical inputs, compatible with CD players, consoles, and other devices. The goal of this launch is to be the center of a sound ecosystem, catering to everyone from the most casual listener to those who pay the most attention to technical details.

Full customization and control through the KEF Connect mobile app

KEF is known not only for delivering high-quality sound but also for the unique designs in its equipment. The new Coda W has a minimalist style and colors inspired by contemporary interiors. Some of the available finishes are Vintage Burgundy, Nickel Grey, Moss Green, Midnight Blue, and Dark Titanium, making the equipment adaptable to any environment.

The product also features controls on the top panel, making it easy to use the equipment’s features, such as switching between sources or adjusting the volume. In addition, the KEF Connect app offers complete control via your mobile phone, allowing you to perform tasks such as equalization adjustments and custom settings from your device’s screen.

A new chapter for high-fidelity sound

It’s worth highlighting that the new Coda W emerges within a context of growth in the home audio market, driven primarily by the sudden increase in public interest in vinyl records and, of course, by the development of high-resolution streaming, with users becoming increasingly demanding regarding the level of quality and practicality of the products.

With this launch, KEF unites two growths in demand, making innovation and tradition coexist in a single project, with a product that brings the essence of analog audio incorporated into the streaming era. The audio market continues to grow in 2025, and KEF keeps pace with this growth without abandoning the fundamentals of the act of listening to music that provides unique and individual experiences.
